Samsara Inn

The hotel is perfectly located, but it's showing its age, with small rooms that smell damp. The window overlooks the pool, so it's impossible to open the curtain. It's clean on the surface but desperately needs a deep clean. Acceptable for one night, and close to the airport. Reasonably priced.

This hotel is an absolute gem! Rooms - I will start with the only, single, negative which is no bidet for the toilets (not a big deal really). Now for the MASSIVE list of POSITIVES: the rooms are clean, the sheets are white and the rooms are maintained daily. TV, with plenty of channels. We stayed here for the bulk of our 1 month in Bali. The price and value cannot be beaten! (Roughly 25 bucks a night AUD). There is a small fridge for every room and the A/C and fan work extremely well. It's a very clean and tidy hotel. It's designed for Aussies, because there is Australian power plugs in the walls next to the indo plugs. The room is spacious for the price and the rooms all surround a big pool in the middle of the hotel. The sunlight comes in at morning time and you feel fresh here always because of the ambience. Service - the service is the best we've had in Bali. The staff are always friendly. Always respectful and help you with anything you need. Juli is one of the staff at Samsara who goes above and beyond. She helped make our stay really enjoyable with her friendly and lovely character. Location - brilliant location, close to everything but still being tucked away in a not so busy place. Hearing the water from the pool always feels very relaxing. This hotel is quietly located in a side street which gives access to heaps of yummy vendors nearby (literally 1 min walk) for all the usual yummy indo food you'd expect to find. Close to chemists and take away joints and also the night-life if that's your cup of tea. (However, the night-life sound doesn't make its way to the Samara Inn). Food - Samsara own the warung across the road and the food is fantastic! Highly recommend having a meal or two from here on your stay. And you can choose to eat it in the dining area near the pool. They will bring it over for you. The food is cooked fresh so a tiny bit of waiting is required (I see this as a good thing). The Samsara Inn is an absolute gem! Best value around.
