I traveled from the US trusting that the photos and information on social media were accurate, but they weren't. I had paid for three days and requested a refund. This hotel is not recommended because it's a complete rip-off. The photos they post online are not real. The hotel lobby doesn't look like the pictures. The restaurant serves stale food. The room cleaning is terrible. And the doorman was inattentive; since I arrived in the morning, he was busy cutting paper and didn't pay attention to a guest arriving with luggage. Even though Bogotá is under construction, guests pay for a clean room, so they should ensure the room and windows are clean. The room was particularly unclean; they put a plastic cover on the bed, which was uncomfortable all night, the sink was detached from the wall, which could cause an accident, and the TV remotes were old and without batteries. When I called to file the complaint, the phone wasn't working either, and when I went down to the lobby, the lights were off because it was early morning.

I have mixed feelings about my experience in this hotel as an international guest who doesn’t speak Spanish. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with excellent housekeeping and a beautiful view from my room. I also want to commend Eliana, who was exceptionally patient and helpful despite the language barrier, and the manager, who assisted in resolving a billing issue. However, communication was a major challenge. The language barrier made simple requests stressful, and at times, I felt there were hidden charges for basic services. For example, I was nearly charged for asking restaurant staff to refill my personal water bottle, and I was almost billed twice for a delivery order. I later realized there was a small percentage fee for deliveries that I wasn’t informed about upfront. While I appreciate the team’s eventual effort to clarify things — and the fact that I received the correct change on my final bill — the lack of clear communication and support made my stay less comfortable than it could have been. For a hotel that welcomes international guests, I’d strongly recommend having at least one English-speaking staff member per shift and porters regularly available to assist with luggage. These small changes would make a big difference and help guests feel more at ease.
