Can not express the disappointment we feel for our 50th wedding vow renewal ceremony with our two daughters attending, to be unattainable due to hurricane damage to the resort, which we totally understand was out of their control, but to NOT refund our money for this (which was out of our control also… it’s an act of nature!) is just totally wrong and uncaring for people who tout about making memories of a lifetime! We booked this trip 2 years ago so we could get the desired accommodations we wanted and then later, decided to add the renewal of our vows since we would be there around our anniversary time. Our 50th will still be memorable as we have each other still but this has left a bad, sour taste that Sandals could be that greedy. Even took out the “insurance” on the trip in case of problems and was refused because it was “out of the timeframe”because it only covers like 3 months prior to arrival and Sandals sent the email before Christmas (our trip was scheduled the beginning of April 2026)but were given future certificates to use within a year (can’t book the same room for there is such a backlog to get it/2years at least) so they will go to waste and our money was still lost! Will NEVER TO TO A SANDALS EVER AGAIN! It wasn’t our first trip there but it is definitely our last, word of mouth matters and we will make sure we discourage anyone we speak to about going to a Sandals.
