I stayed at the hotel for a seminar. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the rooms look dated. The upholstery looks worn, and there seem to be stains on the carpet. The shower tray is also outdated. Last night was stormy, and something was blowing on the roof the whole time. Breakfast is excellent; no complaints there. Lunch and dinner, unfortunately, don't live up to that standard. There's a lot of choice, but for example, the schnitzel seems to be just a simple frozen product. Other hotels do a better job. Of course, this is nitpicking. But you do pay a lot of money for the accommodation.

The hotel is situated in a quiet location, better than the hotels along the busy road running through the center. The hotel dates back to 1974 and is enormous, with over 500 rooms. It feels like a typical conference hotel with little atmosphere. The breakfast room is modern and better than the old-fashioned-looking restaurant in the basement. The rooms are only cleaned every other day. I only saw 5 sunbeds by the pool. There was mold on the shower screen in the bathroom. The toilet smelled of urine. There were 2 chairs on the balcony but no small table. We had a spacious Privileg room with 3 sofas, but the bathroom is very cramped. There is plenty to do in the area, especially for hikers. The lounge also absolutely does not invite you to enjoy a nice Aperol or coffee and cake. A pity! A plus point is the underground passage to the Erlebnisbad, with swimming pools and saunas. You get a 20% discount on admission.
