It's difficult to rate this hotel without considering the impressions of Hanoi's Old Quarter. The location is superb, 2 minutes from the lake, but the surrounding area is littered with trash, devastation, and unsanitary conditions, with only a few civilized cafes, restaurants, and shops for tourists. The hotel is very dark throughout, and the furniture and fixtures are old, even though they are well-maintained. Overall, it's clean. The breakfasts are decent, but they need an Arabica coffee machine so tourists can enjoy their coffee. Overall, it's highly overpriced, like all the hotels in this area.

I recently stayed at Scent Premium Hotel & Spa in Hanoi Old Quarter and overall had a pleasant experience. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the Old Quarter, making it very convenient for sightseeing, exploring local food, visiting the night market, and finding nearby massage shops. It is a great base for travelers who want to explore Hanoi on foot. The room size is standard for Hanoi Old Quarter hotels—not very large but acceptable for solo travelers but okay for couple luggage space might be slightly tight. The amenities were okay and everything was well maintained, although the room design feels a bit older rather than modern. This is understandable considering the limited space for renovation in the Old Quarter. One of the highlights of the stay was definitely the staff. The front desk team and the breakfast staff were extremely friendly and helpful. During breakfast, the staff actively recommended different foods and juices and made the experience very pleasant. The breakfast itself was satisfactory, with a decent selection to start the day. The front desk team also provided helpful advice about sightseeing and tours at reasonable prices. There was only one small issue during my stay: one day after housekeeping cleaned the room, the door was accidentally left unlocked. When I returned, the door was open, which was a bit concerning at first. Fortunately, nothing was missing, but it would be good if the hotel improves this aspect of housekeeping security. Overall, despite this minor issue, I had a good stay. The excellent location and helpful staff make this hotel worth recommending, although the price is slightly higher compared to the room style and size.
