Stopped by for lunch, was quiet as off season (Feb) but cosy atmosphere, very clean and looked recently refurb'd. Staff super helpful, meal delicious, well cooked, perfect chips. We were day visitors to St Bees, not staying, but would definitely stay over in the future.

We stayed at The Seacote Hotel for 2 nights with a fantastic offer I found on wowcher. For what I ended up paying, the service, room and location were absolutely top tier. I can’t even stress how friendly, kind and helpful all of the staff we encountered were. The room was cleaned to a very high standard, and the shower was a lovely temperature with excellent water pressure - very much needed a full day of hiking! I deducted one star for the room (and overall building) because the decor is quite outdated and old fashioned; worth bearing in mind in case aesthetics are important to you. It is located in the quaint and tranquil St Bees area of Cumbria, which is easily accessible via car. Perfect for anyone wanting to stay somewhere relaxed, quiet and coastal with the option to travel out to the wider Lakes, which is what we did. Breakfast is great, you can tell everything is fresh and cooked to order, and again, the staff are very diligent and make sure you’re well taken care of. Dinner, however, we weren’t a huge fan of for the price you pay. I believe the menu is changed regularly, so I think it’s hit and miss on what’s going to be on offer and whenever you’re going to like it, honestly. Overall though, I highly recommend this hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! And so did our dog.
