Seaside Garden Retreat

The room smelled like mould the bathroom door wouldn’t fully close….. the bathroom itself was gross and there was dust everywhere…. I could tell that this room hadn’t been serviced for a while but the overall quality of it just made me sick…. I wouldn’t recommend staying here at all

Stayed for a long stay. First week great service. Then moved to another room for reduced price. Broken shower door with soap scum everywhere. Left to make our own beds for the remaining of the stay. Room are filthy dust everywhere, bottles under beds, mould, complained about the mould nothing done. No cleaning done for our entire stay. No offer of fresh sheets or towels without asking. No toilet paper, coffee or basics you would expect replenished at all. Filthy pool and only cleaned on our last weeks of stay. Bindies everywhere our poor dog couldn’t even walk the grounds. My daughter is highly allergic to mould. Mould is terrible. Nowhere to wash dishes. Couldn’t use BBQ as it nearly blew up in my face in two rooms. Had to take out own rubbish. Asked several times for cleaning never done. Used to be an amazing hotel 15- 20 years ago On last stay. Gone down hill severely Harrassed for more money when payments made into bank account via transfer in front of other customers. Very rude. And knocking on door early in the morning. Good weekly rate for a long stay after negotiations but that came with absolutely disgusting service & little privacy Such a shame has the potential to be a beautiful hotel. Rubbish everywhere Cockroaches and rats of a night scared to turn the lights off Fridge freezers don’t work. Wifi is terrible barely works and hot water barely works. Taps came off twice had to fix myself. Had to wash my own towels and sheets. Reception got other people on many occasions to talk for them to you when they couldn’t get extra money. Honestly the worst hotel I’ve been to. Don’t waste your money Decide is so old bed head falling off. Dirty water coming out of taps on many occasions with no warning Got sick whilst there for a week with diarrhoea from the water. The whole family was sick for nearly two weeks. We swam in the pool once after the pool was cleaned for the first time we seen the whole time we were there Lots of big groups that kept us up all night - Uni students that banged on the walls all night with no consequences. Played basketball and tennis but the balls looked they were 20 years old. The whole place needs to be made over Chinese restraint used to be incredible but no longer open. When it was the food was only good on two occasions out of the five occasion we ate there. Health department needs to check this place out . Saw a man “Chinese” kill a native bird that was trying to get the cod and chuck it behind the tennis court was absolutely horrified Brown snakes in a pile of rubbish near the goats next door nothing done about it DONT BOTHER coming to this place until it’s renovated and cleaned . Gardens are not maintained, until a week ago they started to do something I am disgusted Will never come back even when it is done up. Lady kept showing me how it looked 20 years ago like that was supposed to mean that this was ok. Never again

This place was great, such lovely staff, beautiful location and central to everything. It even has a lovely chinese restaurant on site with in room delivery. Great when travelling with pets
