We vacationed with our family and a child. We initially stayed in a room with a jacuzzi, then in a luxury villa on the beachfront. Upon check-in, they tied handmade bracelets with good luck wishes, took our family photo, and gave it to us upon check-out. The reception and restaurant staff are simply wonderful. Even though this is the norm in Thailand, they are incredibly responsive and positive, responding to all requests and wishes immediately. The rooms are large and spacious, everything is very clean, although the furniture is a bit dated in places. The minibar in the room includes water, Coca-Cola, and milk for free. The breakfasts are very good, with a great selection of dishes. We also had lunch and dinner here – everything was delicious. The hotel provides kayaks and SUPs free of charge. There are books, board games, billiards, and table football. The pool is large, but there's a strong smell of chlorine. The hotel's biggest drawback is the biting insects—there are a huge number of them everywhere, from the beach, the restaurant, to your room. We've been to many hotels, and in this one, the whole family was bitten, even though we constantly sprayed them with mosquito repellent. Overall, we really liked the hotel; it's an incredible place. We were very sad to leave, but we'd love to come back someday.

The island and the resort itself are truly beautiful and very special – you can tell this place was once a real gem. We had the highest category, a bungalow right on the beach. The location and the view are breathtaking, but everything here is also clearly showing its age, so the value for money is unfortunately no longer quite right. There were an extreme number of mosquitoes in the room, and the provided mosquito net was far too small and round, offering hardly any protection. A larger, square net is urgently needed. There were also constantly a lot of flies in the restaurant, which at least gives the impression of poor hygiene. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, especially at reception – a real plus. Nevertheless, the entire complex needs a major overhaul and a complete makeover. Unfortunately, there was often an unpleasant sewage smell in the yoga and massage area, making relaxation impossible. The cocktails were more watered down than enjoyable, and the music (mainly 80s/90s) seemed out of place for such an island resort. With more attention to detail and some renovations, this special place could once again become what it probably was. Currently, it unfortunately leaves a mixed impression.
