We enjoyed our stay here for 5 days. The room is so spacious, I really like that there is a study desk and a small dining high table, as well as a living room area. Lots of rack space for our clothes and gears. What I didnt like was that the sink is outside the bathroom, so it was noisy to use the sink and disturbing others with the sink light turned on when others were sleeping. Our room was in building one which was right next to the main road, road noise started at 6:30am that was annoying. Also there was no power outlet on the side table on one side of the King bed, so it was rather inconvenient to charge my phone and tablet because I'll have to use the wall power outlet under the bedside table. The carpet was quite dirty because we brought our own clean bedroom slippers and at the end of our stay the slippers were black at the bottom. Outside the room, the hotel premise is very clean and beautiful with view of Thunder mountain. Lobby area is so cozy and beautifully decorated. Dining area is rather crowded, and service is slow with very busy servers. However food is delicious, I love the avocado trailhead toast set. Location of the hotel is perfect, so close to some of the popular hikes here and easy to get to restaurants, groceries like safeway, and uptown Sedona. There are activities at the hotel such as evening music performance and morning yoga. I would recommend here and will stay here again.

The Mountain Modern hotel may have the best layout of a hotel room that I’ve ever been in. Perfect as a base for athletic visitors. Lots of shelves and hooks for gear and clothing. The room was very roomy and had room to lounge as well as sleep. |Breakfast was excellent.
