If you're given a room near the lifts, you'll hear a loud droning sound every time the lifts go up or down. Drives you nuts. We changed room three times before getting one further away. DO NOT STAY.

Excellent downtown hotel, especially if you're visiting during the winter months. A major perk is that it is connected to both the Prudential Center and Copley Place, so you don't even have to go outside for shopping or dining. The lobby is comfortable and packed with amenities. The highlight for me was the huge pool and the fitness center, which are well above average for a hotel gym.
