My family fell in love with this place. Pool, basketball, the boys were in heaven. I loved it because I felt they were safe walking out alone while I was able to kick back and relax.

I booked a room at this hotel for my 20th birthday and had a really frustrating experience. About a week before booking, my mom suggested I call the hotel to make sure I didn’t have to be 21 to reserve a room. I called and the man on the phone told me that you only had to be 18+ to book and check in. Based on that information, I went ahead and booked the room and gave my card information. My friends and I then drove two hours to Myrtle Beach to stay at the hotel. When we arrived at the property, we gave my last name at the gate and they let us in with no problem. However, when I went to the front desk and handed over my ID, the employee named Asher immediately asked if I had anyone with me who was 21. I said no and explained that I had called the hotel the week before and was told 18+ was allowed. I also confirmed that I got that number from their website. While I was explaining the situation, the employee kept repeating that I needed someone who was 21 to check me in. Asher was not helpful nor polite. They didn’t try to help resolve the situation or look into the misinformation I was given. Instead, they handed me a phone number and told me to call it. When I got back to my car and called the number, it wasn’t even a real working number. At that point I was panicking because I was two hours away from home with a hotel room I had already booked and paid for, and no way to check in. Thankfully, one of my friends knew someone in the area who was over 21 and they came to check us in. Christine helped us check in and she was more helpful and understanding. Otherwise, we would have been completely stuck. The lack of communication, incorrect information given over the phone, and the unhelpful response from the front desk made this a very stressful experience, especially for something that was supposed to be a fun birthday trip. I would recommend confirming the age policy very clearly before booking here.
