Sheraton Khalidiya Hotel

Due to the current geopolitical landscape I was not able to make it to my booking this week, please note I live in Dubai, below is my entire experience with the hotel over the last month. Enjoy my response to the hotel after asking me for flight bookings from Dubai to Abu Dhabi. Thank you for your response. As I mentioned in my first message I am in Dubai, I have not been taking flights to reach Abu Dhabi and given the current climate it would be unsafe for me to even leave my home. I do not wish to amend my stay as frankly the last 3 weeks I've spent at the hotel have been horrific and I have not opened my mouth about the quality of the hotel. During my 1st week I realised that the hotel wifi did not work on my phone, and after contacting the front desk the person could not fix it for me, since that day I have been using the 3G on my phone to use wifi at your hotel, if you would like bank statements proving I have had to pay extortionate amounts for extra data along with usage from my DU application I would be more than glad to share it with you. During my second week at the hotel I was allegedly upgraded to a different room which was quite literally the same room I had the previous week and did not say anything. The hotel rooms do not even have simple cutlery in them instead sticks to use to mix tea, after realising this I had to pay 20AED to use a spoon in my room as your policy requires me to either order food from the restaurant or not have access to simple cutlery in my room. During my 3rd week at the hotel I was finally given a smoking room after requesting one for 3 weeks and frankly the state and smell of the room was abhorrent. Understandably a smoking room may smell slightly of smoke, but my rooms smell was horrendous clearly showing a lack of care that the hotel takes after one guest uses a room. Additionally my shower did not have hot water for the majority of my stay during the 3rd week. Simple necessities at an establishment like a Sheraton. I did not pay this amount of money to not have basic amenities at a hotel. I did complain to the hotel concierge and front desk a couple of times throughout the 3 weeks I stayed at the hotel because I was in Abu Dhabi for work, leaving the hotel at 8AM and coming back at 6PM, I did not have the energy to fight and argue with them about simple things that should be functional at a hotel such as WIFI. I definitely would've appreciated a little bit more attention to detail in your response to me, I do not know a single person who flies from Dubai to Abu Dhabi and do not know why you would ask me for flight cancellation. Given the above I would like to find a way we can reach a solution to the issues at hand. ------------------ We unfortunately did not reach a solution as I haven't heard from the hotel since. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND AVOID AT ALL COSTS :) Spending the extra 100-200AED a night at a better hotel will exponentially change your experience, given the price I paid here I could've gotten a serviced apartment for the entire month and had a much better experience.

Older hotel with refurbished and spacious rooms but facilities are showing its age. Nothing wrong but nothing to shout about. Breakfast was decent with many choices.

We had a buffet, was nice and sweets were delicious. We had a good time
