I am a well-traveled adult woman who stays in hotels frequently due to my lifestyle, and I have never experienced treatment like this before. My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing due to the lack of professionalism, poor organization, and dismissive customer service. I was charged additional fees without clear explanation and was ultimately banned without being properly informed of any outstanding balance or violations at the time of checkout. I was accused of smoking in my room — an allegation that is completely false. I do not smoke, and especially would never do so in a hotel room, let alone when I provided a cash deposit. This accusation felt unfounded and deeply upsetting. When I contacted the hotel to seek clarification, the Assistant General Manager was defensive and unhelpful, showing no interest in resolving the situation professionally. This was particularly concerning given that one of her own employees suggested that the parking fee be covered by the hotel due to the circumstances. I made it clear that I have no issue paying legitimate charges — my issue is with inconsistency, lack of transparency, and poor communication. Additionally, I was disturbed by the way I was treated throughout this process. As a Black woman, I could not help but feel targeted and unfairly judged, especially given the seriousness of the accusation and the way it was handled. Whether intentional or not, the experience reflected a troubling lack of cultural awareness and customer care.
