We stayed 12 nights at the Siesta Hotel. I chose this hotel due to its proximity to the dive shop and because it offered apartments with a kitchenette and a private balcony. It is also close to restaurants as well as a supermarket. The apartment was spacious and modern, the bed was comfortable, the price was very reasonable. The hotel staff was friendly and promptly took care of any issues with our room. TIP: Bring a flashlight for walking at night. Morne Rouge does not have a sidewalk; it is safer to cut through the parking lot of the Youth Center in order to access Grand Anse Main Rd which has a sidewalk.

I would stay at Siesta again but here are some tips to help anyone else considering this hotel! I stayed 2 nights. Pros: - it's very good value taking into considering location and the nice views - spiceland mall is about a 8-10 mins walk. Food court and supermarket is awesome. There is hot food in the supermarket. - good restaurants straight up the road (we really liked the roti shop) - well positioned for grand Anse and Morne Rouge beaches. Morne Rouge is around a 20 min walk, Grand Anse is maybe about 15? We went to the Grand Anse via the sideroad near Umbrella's (cut through the mall car park) - the breakfast at Siesta was amazing! You have to try the cocoa tea and try a traditional Grenadian breakfast plate - It's an older clientele here. I didn't see any kids during my 2 day stay and it was always very quiet around the pool area, in the evenings and at night. - you can get help getting your luggage up and down the hill if needed - helpful, patient staff! Cons: - my room (1 bed apartment) did need some TLC. Chipped paint, faded furniture, no outlets near the bed. However my bathroom was nice with an overhead rain shower. I don't think all rooms are the same though because my mum's hotel room bathroom didn't have that overhead rain shower. I dropped a star because little, quick things were not done that could have improved the appearance and freshened up the room. I feel like the 1 bed apartment should have a TV in the living room area honestly. - yes the hillside apartments are up a very steep hill (my brother loved his view though) - in room safes need a lock and key from reception. They don't seem to have a lot to give out though. - potential pool towel shortages but they worked hard to resolve this - the hot water seemed less hot in the mornings (maybe due to demand). I didn't get to investigate why this is.

Staff were very warm and welcoming. The area is safe and the hotel lot is field with beautiful flowers. My room was very clean. The grocery store, beach, and restaurants are all less than a 10 minute walk. I would prefer this area and hotel to stay than other parts of island.
