Simm’s Hotel – the cityhotel next to Metro U3

My stay at Simm’s Hotel was absolutely superb. The room was very spacious, spotlessly clean, and had a lovely view – and honestly, I didn't hear a single fly, it was so quiet. Perfect for relaxing after a long day exploring the city. The breakfast was also excellent, with a wide variety of options to suit every taste. Fresh, diverse, and very well organized. Another big plus: The subway station is practically right under the hotel, making it incredibly convenient to get to the city center. I'm certain of one thing: Simm’s Hotel is number one on my list for when I return to Vienna.

The connection to the U3 subway and tram is unbeatable. It couldn't be better. The rooms are sufficiently large and clean, with good beds, and the bathroom is almost enormous compared to other hotels. The only downside was the terrible water pressure in the shower. The display for the heating/air conditioning was so bright that we had to cover it from the second night onwards. The room cleaning was excellent – quick and thorough. No complaints there. There are a few issues with breakfast: the only variety was the sausages: sometimes frankfurters, sometimes Debreziner, or sometimes bratwurst. Otherwise, nothing special, a basic breakfast with overly warm sausage and cheese. Some of the spread was dried out, so I happily skipped it. Unfortunately, there were often no glasses for lattes, plates, or even knives. It was also annoying that if you managed to snag a seat, you sometimes had to share it with the previous guests' dishes. A family at the next table was sitting quite cramped with dishes left behind by the previous guests. The waitstaff passed by several times, but never returned empty-handed. We were lucky, being just the two of us, so we could move the dishes aside. I also didn't appreciate the particularly slow clearing of the table, which seemed to allow them to overhear conversations at the next table. Location excellent, room service excellent, breakfast service could be improved.

We were very happy with the hotel; the breakfast was good and fresh, the housekeeping was excellent, but we especially want to commend the wonderful young lady who worked at reception yesterday morning. We had some time after our check-out and wanted to see a few sights, and she knew everything! She was also very helpful and attentive. We will definitely come back again :)
