Historic hotel with very spacious and welcoming rooms. The indoor pool is very beautiful and truly evocative. It's a shame that the fireplace room is currently unavailable due to renovations. Very friendly staff.

The Sina Brufani hotel in Perugia does not currently deserve a five-star rating. It is evident that it was once a prestigious establishment, but that standard belongs to the past. Today, it functions mainly as a venue for the city’s social events, while the overall quality of its facilities and services falls noticeably short. My husband and I stayed at the hotel during the last week of November 2025. On the positive side, the interior decoration of the rooms is very pleasant; the staff is kind and attentive; the breakfast is well stocked, with good-quality ingredients; and the views over the valley from the room are truly splendid. However, the negative aspects are numerous and significant. The common areas were under renovation, creating a neglected and noisy environment, particularly during breakfast. Construction debris was visible in the corridors, and there was a general sense of disorder, including improvised storage areas with equipment located near the hallway of our room. It is also inexplicable that the hotel reception is located in a high-traffic passageway, lacking any sense of welcome or privacy. The front desk consists of just a couple of desks and has an impersonal, poorly designed appearance, more reminiscent of a government office than the reception area of a luxury hotel. The elevators further reinforce this impression of neglect. They are very small, outdated, and poorly maintained, with a worn and antiquated appearance that is inconsistent with the standards expected of a five-star hotel. In addition, the hotel has serious electrical system issues. In the first room we were assigned, all the lights would shut off spontaneously, leaving the room completely dark for about fifteen minutes. After several complaints, we were moved to a second, larger room. However, even there, some areas remained in semi-darkness because no one knew how to turn on the lights. Finally, the soundproofing of the windows is clearly inadequate. All street noise was audible, which became especially problematic when a laundry delivery truck parked outside the hotel to deliver and collect linens. As a result, we were awakened at 6:45 a.m. by the noise—an unacceptable experience for a hotel that presents itself as a high-end establishment.
