Although the hotel is very nice, certain methods practiced by the employees (and the manager) tend to spoil the good mood of the guests! More precisely, despite the fact that I booked a premium double room with a balcony, for 3 nights (through booking), due to the fact that I am a smoker, I received a double room that did not have a balcony. I thought there had been a mistake and went down to the reception to clarify this aspect and from here began the series of lies by the receptionist and later, by phone, by the manager: the building that has rooms with balconies is under renovation (well then why are those rooms still listed on booking), the balcony is optional, subject to availability (although the booking confirmation clearly stated that that room has a balcony), she had a little more and told me that the bed in the room is also optional, also subject to availability! It all culminated with the attitude of the manager (a lady) who told me, by phone, that we would be given our money back. I mean, we come from Constanta, we arrive at 7:00 PM, with a 4-year-old child following us and it's on the principle of "if you don't like that I lied to you, take your money and leave"! In the end, although they supposedly didn't have rooms with a balcony, we were told that it would be resolved the next day and that we would get a room with a balcony! That was another lie, the second evening we didn't receive anything, due to the fact that we didn't stay tied to the hotel, to be present at 12:00 PM, when check-out is supposed to be! Embarrassing, they treat customers with an attitude worthy of any third world country!

The hotel itself is superb, very well located, with golden finishes inside, very friendly staff, but it also has less pleasant parts that intrigued me during my stay. First of all, the breakfast was a bit weak, quite weak and with few food options, one evening I had to order from the city and I also asked the kitchen for some ketchup and I had to pay 5 lei because the chef doesn't give anything without a receipt, I hope he got rich with those 5 lei especially since there was also a shortage of Metro ketchup. Moving on to the room, although I got a double matrimonial room instead of a twin, the room was ok in terms of cleanliness, but the water was cold in the shower, water flowed through the shower door all the time when you were taking a bath, the walls are very thin, you can hear everything from other rooms (I heard TVs turned up to maximum and children's footsteps above me) so it wasn't really quiet.
