I could not recommend smiths hotel more. I got married here in February and it was better than i could have ever of imagined. We had afternoon tea, breakfasts and a 3 course gold wedding dinner at the hotel. All of the food we had was fantastic. The communication between the wedding hosts and ourselves was great. They were very communicative and helpful every step of the way, and always vey quick to respond if we had any questions. We stayed in the rose suite which was huge, immaculately clean and very well looked after. I could not fault Smiths at any point, during booking or our actual wedding. We will definitely look to return for our first anniversary!

Smiths at Gretna Green was booked as part of our Wedding Package. We had originally booked in at Gretna Hall, but due to some unforeseen circumstances the booking had to move to Smiths. With this in mind, we had not seen our Bridal Suite, Guest Rooms and Function Room prior to the wedding day. Despite this, Smiths Hotel exceeding our expectations a thousand times over. The Bridal Suite was enormous with a huge bath and double shower, plenty of space for the hair and make up teams and photographers, and a great big balcony with a view of the countryside. The function room was equivalent to the one we booked at Gretna Hall, with the staff team even offering to set up our own decorations and cakes for us. Phoebe and Gill were exceptional, approachable, and very attentive. Phoebe met us on check in to go over some final details of our big day and reassured us through the whole experience. Gill was equally reassuring as she coordinated our ceremony. Not just ourselves but our guests were stunned at the service that was provided. I quote one couple amongst our guests claiming that it was the best hotel and service they had ever experienced. Due to the circumstances at Gretna Hall, we have been invited back for a stay on our first anniversary which we of course accepted, but it will be very difficult for us to not find an excuse to stay at the Smiths Hotel again in future. Thank you to everybody who helped our wedding day go so smoothly.
