Ok, i booked this place for its location... 1st time in Ludington. From the outside, one would go, wow! But here is the kicker, once you get into the room, you see how sparse the amenities are. The bathroom is small. The shower is a joke. I took an Amtrak sleeper cross-country, and the shower is about that size! If you drop the soap or the washcloth, good luck. I think the place was designed when showers were a curiosity. It is a joke. I'm about 300lb and tall. If you are bigger, steer clear because you will not fit! Another point is that all of the furniture is hard! The room had the equivalent of 'library chairs". The only soft piece of furniture was the bed, so if you want to sit and read/work/play on your computer or game device, be prepared to stack a bunch of towels under your backside or you will be sore. The staff was nice and pool/hot tub were awesome, so you have to consider these amenities as well. The best part of this room is that it's about 100ft from the shore of Lake Michigan. Each room includes a 'deck" that has a pair of Adirondack chairs and a table. I dont do Adirondacks because I am old and big, however these are rocker-style, which I have never encountered before. When you want to get up, just rock forward and getting out of the chair is a piece of cake. Overall, I enjoyed the stay, but the small shower and hard chair issue, I have never encountered in a lifetime of travels for business and pleasure. Would I come back to this hotel, maybe. I did hear that the rates go up near 300 a night in season, so at those rates, absolutely not.
