Terrible experience, I don't recommend it. The facilities need improvement. The service is not good. There are cleaning and maintenance problems; my daughter found a cockroach and a rat in her room.

The worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Abandoned, poorly maintained, and worst of all, lacking cleanliness and hygiene. I found cockroaches and a rat in my room (in addition to rat droppings)!!! Unprepared and grumpy staff. Limited restaurant options, bad and expensive food. No facilities or service whatsoever at the beach or pool. A true nightmare to stay here!

The setting is undeniably stunning: a lush, green, and exotic environment with a genuine sense of tranquility. Arrival is pleasant thanks to the warm welcome from the staff and the complimentary drink, creating a very positive first impression. However, several elements detract from the experience, especially for an establishment of this caliber. The amenities are outdated (sun loungers, bed frames, etc.), and the cleanliness of the room was inconsistent. Some equipment was not working: the telephone was out of order, making it impossible to call reception; several sockets and switches were faulty; and the air conditioning unit was positioned very high (approximately 1.80 meters) with a broken screen, making it difficult to use. Furthermore, the advertised sea view was nonexistent. It's also worth noting the sometimes lengthy wait times for a transfer car between the hotel entrance and reception. Additionally, the rooms equipped with outdoor bathtubs clearly lack privacy. There are large openings on the sides facing the road... It's difficult to relax when vehicles and vacationers are constantly passing by. A particularly shocking point: at dinner, water was charged even though we were on half-board, without any prior notification. Conversely, water was free at breakfast. This lack of transparency is disappointing and hard to understand for a hotel of this caliber. Also, don't expect to find any activities. You get the feeling that the hotel is designed for relaxation. It's also difficult if you're staying for an extended period without a car, as the hotel is quite far from everything. In short, the setting and the friendliness of the staff are real strengths, but the establishment would benefit from modernizing its facilities and offering more transparency in its services to fully live up to the expectations associated with the Sofitel brand.
