Excellent stay at Sokha Convention Center. The breakfast buffet was outstanding with a wide variety of choices. The rooms are very spacious, the bed is huge and extremely comfortable, and the pillows are excellent. The staff is very welcoming and kind. The hotel is not in the city center but is close to Angkor Wat, which is a real advantage. Tuk-tuks are available right outside and take you quickly to the city center. Restaurant, bar, and a very large swimming pool on site. Highly recommended.

This is a very well-built hotel. I had a safe and secure stay. (The conflict with Thailand was escalating when I stayed, so it was nice to be able to rest in peace.) The rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The shower room was very spacious and had plenty of hot water. The only downside is that it's far from the downtown area. However, this makes for a peaceful stay away from the hustle and bustle. I used the tour counter at the hotel front desk to sign up for a tuk-tuk tour of the ruins (around $20) and a rental bicycle ($9 for a mountain bike, prices vary by type). If you want to see the sunrise over Angkor Wat, you can depart at 5:00 for an additional $5.

We used this hotel as accommodation for a tour of Cambodia's Angkor Wat and other attractions. The pool was great. It was nice that the room had a bathtub. There are height restrictions on buildings in this area, so there isn't much height. As a result, you might have to move sideways a lot. The facilities are a little old, but that's to be expected. There was free Wi-Fi, and there were no problems with the connection or speed.
