Sol by Melia is a beautiful resort, conveniently located close to the airport, yet you're not bothered by airplanes or anything like that. The resort is right on the sea and has one swimming pool (with a pool bar). The pool water is very warm (due to the sun) and isn't exactly refreshing for a dip. However, the drinks at the pool bar are fantastic; they have delicious, fresh smoothies, and nothing is too much trouble. The staff is generally very friendly and helpful. There's also a small bar on the beach where you can get delicious (fresh) smoothies and fresh waffles with fresh fruit. The water entry point is quite short and shallow because there's a line with buoys you can't go past. I would recommend water shoes, as there are many stones and sharp shells at the beginning of the water that you have to wade through. We booked a "gold" room/suite, which I would recommend to everyone. Free 24/7 room service (very helpful if you arrive in the middle of the night and are actually hungry), free laundry service (4 units per person), and a free 1-hour massage. One disappointment was that we had a (junior) suite on the top floor, but with no view; we overlooked a back street, so no sea view. Cleanliness is excellent, everything is constantly cleaned, only the lawn mowers are a shame (not electric, but gasoline-powered, so they make a lot of noise). There is a restaurant where you can enjoy breakfast (buffet) in the morning and à la carte lunch and dinner in the afternoon. There's another open-air restaurant by the pool, serving a lunch buffet in the afternoon and evening. The buffets aren't lavish, but there's always plenty of choice (chicken, meat, and fish). There's a coffee bar near the lobby where they also have some treats to go with your coffee (all-inclusive). There's also a massage parlor, but it's relatively expensive. We did get a massage there, but it wasn't great. It's much better to leave the resort, where you'll find a street lined with shops and several massage parlors, good ones, but half the price. There are also a few supermarkets, but a taxi (cheap!) will quickly take you to Denpasar or to a larger mall (e.g., Icon Mall is recommended). All in all, a great resort that we'll definitely return to!

We stayed here for 2 weeks in october 2025. 2 adults and 2 kids (3 and 1). We absolutely loved our stay. The kind, and attentive staff were the hightlight. We can't speak highly enough of everyone there. Food and alcohol included with the all inclusive was great. Breakfast was the highight. Its an older complex but suited our needs perfectly. Would happily recommend to anyone looking for a well priced, relaxing stay
