Flight cancelled, airline referred us here, and then we're standing in the lobby trying to check in, only to be told by the staff member, "There's no booking for you!" And we two aren't the only stranded guests! After many arguments, we booked privately through a B.anbiter and got a room that left us speechless... a spit-filled room in a high-rise building, windows so drafty it made no difference whether they were open or closed, a bathroom ceiling that threatened to collapse when the balcony door was opened (a draft made everything wobble and lift), furniture that was simply worn out, broken, sagging, etc. Breakfast was... canteen-style and worse (you had to scrounge together whatever looked edible). The service in general was not what you'd expect when you're unexpectedly stranded... statements like "we're fully booked... we can't help..." but they still tried to rip us off for €180 for one night and breakfast. The service was excellent... thanks for the ruined end to our vacation. Our conclusion: not recommended.

Having just returned from here as a 76 year young solo traveller this was my worst experience i have had anywhere you are a 4 star hotel running a 1 star service the food was acceptable the cleaners of my room were exceptional , now the bad things apart from one lady on reception who tried very hard to please the rest of the staff were very dismissive of our problems , wonderful view from poolside but the front is so different it was scary to go at night for anyone on their own over 40 drug problem is out of control even me was harassed numerous times to buy not just weed but anything . The entertainment in the hotel was awful and all over by 10 30 pm this is the first time i wanted to get home treated as a child instead of a adult . This place really needs to get its act together total overhaul needs attention . Please if you are not after a party town and just want to enjoy the sun and nightlife this is defininitly not the hotel to go i have never been a hotel in Tenerife where people were complaining so much , shame on you Sol Tenerife , there is so much i can say but i hope this as made some kind of point
