This is going to be a long one. First of all, Greece is beautiful and Santorini is gorgeous. We had a really good time visiting. Sophia “Luxury” suites is not great and honestly pretty terrible. This was not our first choice of accommodation, we booked another hotel that we were really excited about-but they had to cancel, such a bummer. After researching online, I was tricked into believing the “Luxury” in Sophia Luxury Suite’s name actually meant LUXURY- IT DOES NOT. We were picked up at the hotel (paid service) and arrived at the hotel about 15 minutes later. A receptionist/concierge was waiting for us, we thought, oh that’s nice- turns out that was the last time she will ever show her face. We were guided to where our room was- one thing that was great was the view ,nothing else. She showed us the room and said she was going to explain everything- but she didn’t. Not even 5 mins later she left. We were mislead by the listing that the plunge pool is temperature controlled at 27 degree celcius- it is not. The water is freezing. The light wasn’t working, so I tried calling the front desk. I called 5 times. I have never stayed at a hotel that doesn’t answer their phone- so I remember that they also use whatsapp, so I sent a message 4 hours went by..no answer. So I called the whatsapp number, she then answer and proceeded to tell us the lights were working when she left. That was it. As if both could not be true? Also the reception area is so far away, and there is no map provided for anyone to find the reception as if this was by design. The room… everything smells moldy. Both of us started feeling unwell. Allergies started to flare up. When we left all our stuff smelled like mold. The shower, bathroom molds. Pics attached. The shower was pooling water, it went up to my ankles. Bath Gel is placed at the sink, body lotion was in the shower- unsure when the last time the room was cleaned before we arrived honestly. Overall if I can give this place anything less than one it wi -10000/10. Worst service, worst room. Not worth it at all. AVOID AT ALL COST.
