We stayed here for a week at the very end of the season (end of October 2025). If you're looking for a picturesque, peaceful, and quiet place and are looking to experience Crete from a truly local perspective, this hotel is perfect. The hotel is 4-star, but it's important to remember that these are Greek 4-star ratings and that the hotel itself is built on a site that was once an olive grove. You can feel that this place is steeped in history; it's not your typical, luxurious hotel built from scratch. The rooms are cleaned daily, and the decor is modern, but it's clear the owner wants to preserve the spirit of the original. Our bathroom was clean and renovated, but unfortunately, the Greek finishing is far behind the standards in Poland, so you can see imperfections everywhere, such as sloppily cut tiles, grout lines made in a haphazard manner, silicone smeared with a finger, etc. The shower has no slope, which makes water drain very poorly. The hotel rooms are actually cottages scattered throughout the complex, squeezed between each other. Each usually has a small terrace or balcony. The entire complex is surrounded by olive groves. Unfortunately, most of the photos on Booking.com are of the most expensive options. The breakfasts are delicious, with such a wide selection that everyone will leave full and satisfied. The staff was always smiling and helpful, and you could often have a quick chat with the waiters. Unfortunately, the pool and restaurant were closed at the end of the season. When we left on October 27th, we were the last guests in the entire facility.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. I wish I could have stayed longer. The views of the countryside are beautiful. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The staff was vey welcoming. The food was delicious.

We stayed in Villa Joanna. It's two-story, with two bedrooms, a shower and toilet, a large terrace on the second floor, an outdoor area with a pool, a living-dining area, and a well-equipped kitchen. There's a large dining room table, and one outside as well. The beds are exceptionally comfortable. There's a sofa bed in the living-dining area, but it doesn't seem particularly comfortable. There's also a washing machine with its own taps, as well as a dishwasher. Our stay was very good; the staff was very friendly and spoke several languages, including English and French. We had breakfast, which was good and plentiful, with a good variety. Bread, eggs in various forms, cereals, sausage, cheese, and various desserts. What was negative, however, were minor defects in the villa, such as the door to the terrace that didn't close properly, the toilet line was leaking a bit, there were ants, and the shower was dripping. These were all fixed after notification. There was then dinner to make up for the inconvenience.
