Staybridge Suites Bangkok Sukhumvit, an IHG Hotel

Really impressed with this hotel. The check-in service was very friendly and warm and our upgraded room was amazing. I love the full kitchen, large refrigerator, excellent water pressure, laundry washer in room, and they even provide a scale. The breakfast was varied and plentiful with many different kinds of foods. We would definitely recommend and stay here again

I stayed at Staybridge Suites Bangkok Sukhumvit from December 30, 2025, until my check-out date of January 3, 2026. The highlight of my Bangkok trip was the New Year's Eve countdown fireworks at ICONSIAM! The spectacular fireworks and live events along the Chao Phraya River were a breathtaking sight, and it was a wonderful way to welcome the New Year in style, making it a truly memorable experience. While ICONSIAM is a little far from the hotel, I'd always been interested in this hotel, and it was a fantastic choice. I've stayed at all the IHG hotels in Bangkok, and this one far surpassed the others in terms of hospitality and convenience. I was particularly surprised by how convenient the in-room amenities were, even compared to the InterContinental Bangkok, which was renovated two years ago. It's no wonder the hotel has such a high number of Japanese guests, as it offers such excellent services for Japanese guests. Access: A Grab taxi from Suvarnabhumi Airport takes less than 30 minutes (under 500 baht) if there's no traffic jam. The journey was very smooth. The nearest station is BTS Phrom Phong Station. Exiting the Emporium-side ticket gate in front of the station, there's an elevator that takes you down to the first floor. From there, head to the hotel's free shuttle bus stop, located east of Prada on the first floor of the Emporium. The shuttle runs at approximately 3 and 33 minutes past the hour (departing from the hotel at 00 and 30 minutes from morning until 10 p.m.). It's incredibly convenient, taking just three minutes from the hotel to the station! Even if the bus is full, a return bus will arrive promptly. The bus has "Staybridge" emblazoned in large letters, making it difficult to confuse with other hotel buses. (Please note that many hotel shuttle buses also stop here.) Even if you have a lot of luggage, you can easily take the elevator down to ground floor without having to use the stairs, making this a particularly recommended spot for seniors, those with strollers, and families with children. Luxury shopping malls such as Emporium, EmQuartier, and EmSphere are within walking distance, and the direct connection to the station makes it an ideal location for shopping and dining. Lounge (Social Night): The Den lounge on the 9th floor of Tower 1 hosts "Social Night" every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Free beer, wine, and soft drinks are available, and a wide selection of snacks, including salads, nuts, olives, pickles, and yakisoba, makes for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The spacious lounge space makes it comfortable for working on your computer. While there is no daily lounge service, there is a free coffee machine, and The Den's common space is always available for relaxation. Another fun aspect is being able to interact with other guests. Breakfast: A complimentary buffet is served to guests at the ORIGAMI restaurant in Tower 1 from 5:30 AM to 10:00 AM (until 10:30 AM on weekends). A wide variety of dishes are available, from Japanese cuisine (rice, miso soup, grilled fish, etc.) to Thai and Western dishes. In the open kitchen, fried eggs, omelets, and scrambled eggs are made to order. The menu changes daily, so you'll never get bored, even if you stay multiple nights. One thing worth mentioning is the complimentary bento box service! You can pack your favorite dishes at the venue and take them back to your room, so you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast while watching Japanese TV. It really does reflect the hotel's thoughtful attention to detail. Room amenities: The fully equipped kitchen (with microwave, cookware, dishes, glasses, detergent, and sponges) and washer/dryer make it ideal for long stays. You can do your laundry locally, reducing your luggage burden without having to bring lots of clothes. Detergent is also readily replenished (although be careful of clothes that cannot be dried). There's a Fuji Supermarket, a supermarket catering to Japanese customers, in the basement, making it easy to buy ingredients and cook at home. This is especially convenient for those traveling with infants. While shower-only options are available, I opted for a room with a bathtub and washing area. It's a rare Japanese-style bath in Bangkok, and I brought along bath salts to soothe my fatigue (a portable washbasin would be even more convenient). The toilet is equipped with a TOTO Washlet. In addition to NHK, Fuji TV, Nippon TV, TBS, and TV Asahi are available on TV, allowing you to watch Japanese news and variety shows in real time. You can also request an in-room oil massage (900 baht per hour, approximately JPY 4,500) at the front desk. It's both affordable and high-quality, and a warm bath afterward was a truly relaxing experience. Facilities: The biggest attraction is the Japanese-style large public bath (onsen) and sauna, which are free for guests! While many hotels overseas only offer showers, here we enjoyed a full-fledged hot spring bath, which was soothing every day. It seems that many guests stay for long periods, and many bring their own shampoo and other items into the large public bath, which is available from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM, making it ideal for a morning bath or a soothing bath before bed. There's also an outdoor pool, gym, and yoga classes. This hotel is pet-friendly, with a private lawn area in front of the entrance, and we even saw some guests with their dogs. The hotel is relatively new, clean, and modern, catering to a wide range of guests, from families to business travelers. Overall rating: ★★★★★ 5 stars! The staff were wonderful, especially Ms. NONG! Just yesterday at this time, when I checked out, they carried my heavy luggage to the front door with a smile, and I'm truly grateful. Even though I had bought too many souvenirs and my luggage was heavier, they were happy to help me. Thanks to this stay, the warmth of Bangkok and the hospitality of the staff have remained with me even after I returned to Japan, and it has warmed my heart. I definitely want to stay here again for next year's New Year, so I've already booked my plane ticket! Reservations for this hotel will open in the middle of this month, so I'll definitely be using their services again! If you're looking for a comfortable long-term stay in Bangkok, this is a hotel I would recommend without hesitation. Thank you!

Hotel is in a good location to get around and staff were friendly. Nice onsen feature but the bedrooms were noisy at and overall service slow which was disappointing.
