We spent a week at the Stella Island Adults Hotel. While I returned feeling refreshed, I was disappointed with the hotel. It promises more than it delivers. First, there was the constant noise from airplanes directly above the hotel. The incessant and irritating background music from the hotel grounds, played from morning till night, did nothing to mask this. With very few exceptions, the staff were rather unfriendly and seemed annoyed. Our greetings, like "Hello" or "Kalimera," mostly went unanswered. I've never experienced this level of service in hotels of this category, and I found it very disappointing. Since we were there at the end of the season, we felt they were overwhelmed and exhausted. Some of them were working from morning till late at night. We didn't visit any of the five restaurants in the hotel. The menus didn't appeal to us, and some were already closed. In my opinion, the food is geared towards British guests. I found the buffet boring and couldn't stand the sight of it after just three days. Fortunately, there are excellent alternatives in the town, which is within easy walking distance. Since we were there at the end of the season, we felt they were overworked and exhausted. The pool is quite cold and, at a maximum depth of 1.5 meters, only suitable for swimming to a limited extent. The grounds are lovely, and there was outdoor service on the first day, but not after that. The rooms are nice, but a few things are missing, such as a mirror with adequate lighting for women or sufficient towel hooks. While towels are changed, there haven't been any small face towels for the last few days. The toilet smelled quite musty due to the drain at the bottom. All in all, there's definitely room for improvement for a hotel of this category.
