Beautiful hotel with a stylish room, river view, and warm, welcoming staff Our stay at the Stora Hotellet, BW Premier Collection, was absolutely superb. The hotel impresses with its unique charm, stylish design, and very pleasant atmosphere. Our room was beautiful, modern, and exceptionally clean. The furnishings are tasteful, high-quality, and cozy. We were particularly impressed by the magnificent view of the river, which lends the room a special tranquility – a true highlight, especially in the evenings. A big thank you to the very friendly, attentive, and exceptionally child-friendly staff. Our family felt welcome from the moment we arrived, and the children's needs were met with great patience and warmth. The beds were very comfortable, the room quiet, and well-equipped. The hotel's location is also ideal for exploring the city at your leisure. A small piece of constructive feedback: A kettle in the room would be a great addition, especially for families or for making tea or coffee in the evening. This would perfectly complement the already very high level of comfort. A hotel with character, style, and genuine hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can wholeheartedly recommend the hotel. We would love to come back again!

Entering the Superstition room at the Stora Hotellet is like stepping into a forbidden logbook—one where the texts seem to have been written by trembling hands on a stormy night, while something unknown scraped against the planking. Already at the threshold, you sense that this is no ordinary hotel suite, but a place where the ancient darkness of the sea seeps in between the planks. The room is compact, yes, but not claustrophobic; rather, enveloping, like a ship's cabin built to endure the wrath of the night. The walls seem to carry a whisper of salt and tar, and the sparse design speaks of a time when sailors slept with one eye open, vigilant against the forces that always followed them across black waters. It is as if the room itself carries the ancient truth that every sailor knows but rarely dares to say out loud: that reason is a thin membrane, easily torn by the unknown will of the wind and waves. The theme here is not just a decorative statement, but a present mood. You almost feel observed, the figure whose shadow always falls a little wrong. The Lovecraftian decoration on the walls helps with the mood. The clever layout, inspired by the bunks aboard old ships, is not only practical but also ritualistic: every shelf, every nook, every small opening feels like part of a larger order. An order created to appease the invisible forces that lurk in the depths and in the corners of the night. When you turn off the lamp, the silence becomes dense, not empty, but filled with an eerie calm—as if the room holds its breath with you. The sailor's superstition does not leave this room; it sits in the walls, in the shadows, in the still air that seems to know something you do not. Yet the feeling is strangely comforting. As if the old ghosts are saying: “You are safe here, as long as you respect the laws of the sea.” Superstition is not just a hotel room. It is a small, perfectly delimited world where the darkest legacies of seafaring live on. For those who appreciate atmosphere, myths and that dizzying feeling that the world is bigger, darker and stranger than you first think, this room is a treasure trove.

Nice staff and fresh room, comfortable bed with extra blanket and pillows (but strange bathroom with slanted ceiling over the sink and spotlights in the window that couldn't be turned off even when you pulled out the card). 🥲 Nice breakfast with a good selection BUT terrible layout. Poor staff (and all guests) have to run an obstacle course between the tables to take and refill constantly as the food is placed at FIVE stations far apart, it's just not reasonable. Felt like an anthill and not a peaceful breakfast. Overall: nice stay. ✨
