Stratford Inn

Well...first of all I booked this on accident, was supposed to be looking at hotels in medford not ashland...so that turned into a pain in thr butt...not the hotels fault, but 1st...they charged me $70 pet fee for my 2 little dogs...which is ridiculous. With that kind of a charge I feel like I dont need to take them outside for their walk, I will just let them piss and shit in the room and get my fees worth. I didnt...but its how I feel about bs charges like this. Then there was the room itself...it was clean, the bed was comfy tho a rock that I could stretch out on would have been comfy with how tired I was. The room was freezing upon entry, so I turned on the heater and passed out immediately once it warmed up. I woke up an hour later to a room of about 85 degrees when set for 72. Ok. I turned it down and left for dinner and drinks. Came back passed out around 2am. I thrn woke up every hour or so trying to adjust the temp in my room. Put it all the way down to 65 and opened the window in the room by the end and the room was still hot as hell. I basically didnt get any sleep and had to work at 10am in medford. The breakfast was kind of a joke...no to go cups out, had to ask for some just so I could grab juice to go since I didnt have time to eat because I needed to take a shower cuz I was sweating all night. There really wasnt any grab and go anything...breakfast consisted of a yogurt bar and cereal. Font get me wrong, yogurt is great and they had fruit and other crazy toppings like coconut and walnuts...but again...no to go dishware, the hard boiled eggs were empty and there were 2 green bananas and a red apple...but this is the bkfst choices, I really couldnt believe there weren't muffins or toast or bagels or something! I just wanted something I could grab quick. And what if I were w my man who is lactose intolerant? That bkfst would def not have worked for him. Im gonna say the front desk staff were very nice, he probably didn't ask if my second pet fee could be removed like he said he was going to, but he put up with my grumpiness upon arrival with a smile, and it was noticed. Morning girl was pleasant as well. But if ur looking to get sleep at a hotel...this one may not be it if all the heating units turn out like mine...it was just ridiculous.

This hotel is very simple and sweet. The hot tub is small but adequate. The poop room was enjoyable. Breakfast was yogurt bar and toast which was perfect. Great coffee actually, normally I can't say that about hotel coffee. Front desk staff and breakfast lady were all so helpful and kind. I would return!
