Highly Dissatisfied and Concerned Guest Review: Studio 6 (Denton, TX) Initial Situation: Traveling from Alabama when our car broke down. This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Given the high price point of $80–$90 a night and the level of service we received, this hotel is a complete disappointment and raises serious concerns about management integrity. 1. Extremely Poor Customer Service & Hidden Fees • Rude Staff: The hotel staff were consistently rude and unprofessional, demonstrating a severe lack of basic people skills or courtesy. • Late Check-in Refused/Fees Applied: Despite our emergency situation, the staff refused a late-night check-in. We were forced to wait until 10:00 AM, exhausting us after resting in the car. We were then charged a $30 early check-in fee. • Confused Communication: I received a confusing voice message demanding our arrival time or threatening a "no show" fee, even though we were already checked into a room. Room 221 2. Disrespectful Conditions & Lack of Notice • Loud Construction/Repairs: We were never informed of ongoing repairs. At 7:00 AM the next morning, we were jolted awake by extremely loud, continuous pounding right outside our room. This showed a complete disregard for the comfort and rest of paying guests. 3. Serious Unauthorized Charging Issues (Theft) This is the most egregious issue. Our credit card was repeatedly and intentionally hit with multiple unauthorized charges: • Initial Incident: The night staff initially charged our card multiple times. When my husband inquired, they claimed the charges were not showing up or were a bank error, refusing a refund despite one immediate, reversed charge being obvious. • Second Incident: A day later, they hit the card again, this time with two unauthorized charges. We checked out Sat at check out time. • Resolution: It became clear they were attempting to fraudulently accumulate charges. On Monday, our bank froze the card and credited back the owed money (totaling around $300). Their repeated attempts to blame our bank, despite the charges showing the "Studio 6" label, were insulting and transparent. Travelers using a credit/debit card here are advised to check their bank statements daily, especially after 1:00 AM. 4. Illegal Tow Attempt and Retaliation • Retaliation: As my husband worked to repair our car to leave, note we were checked out and given permission to fix our car in the parking lot in the back, the hotel attempted to illegally tow our vehicle off the property. This was clearly an attempt to retaliate after we discovered the repeated, unauthorized card charges. • Warning by Residents: Two permanent residents of the hotel warned my husband about the tow truck driver. He worked all night to get the car running, which ultimately thwarted the tow. • Questionable Policy: The hotel's actions violate basic guest rights, especially considering other broken-down cars have been allowed on the property for years. There are no clear "No Towing" signs, no signed rules for guests to acknowledge, and no visible proof of a formal warning (from the hotel or police) required for a legal tow in Denton, TX. Conclusion: This hotel is shady, dishonest, and actively stealing from paying customers while severely neglecting basic hospitality standards. They are abusing the Studio 6 image. STAY AWAY! This place has a scam going thr night guy hit your card the day men act like it never happened that they dont make mistakes. STAY AWAY! GO ANY WHERE ELSE BUT HERE. The only reason this place has the business it has is due to the smoking rooms they offer. It's not worth it!!

Don't stay here This place is a dump. dirty, unkept and roaches. Owned and run by crooked people that will double charge your card, then claim to have no knowledge of it. They blame your bank. Funny how the bank never made this mistake anywhere else but here. Loud construction noises starting @ 7 AM and continues throughout the day. DO NOT STAY HERE! You'd be better off sleeping under the bridge or the parking lot

Would never stay here again. When I walked into the room it smelled wet/moldy. That night the ceiling started leaking. I called and asked for a new room. There weren’t any available. I asked for a bucket to catch the rain but they didn’t have anything we could use. We ended up using our trash can. We ended up leaving early because I woke up with a roach crawling on me.
