I stayed here for work & when I came in the lobby I didn't see an elevator (much needed for my tools). When I asked if there's an elevator, I was told no. I was ready to cancel my reservation & find another place. I was told they were able to put me in the 1st floor per my reservation request & I asked if I could get to my room without any steps. He told me I could...that he would let me move the construction cones to unload my truck & that there were no stairs to the 1st floor door on that side of the building. I asked to see the room & he took me through a maze of stairs to open the door. Room was clean, bathroom was clean. Looked as if it were all new/updated. We went back to the front desk & I kept my reservation, paid in full, & moved my truck past the construction cones to unload only to find...STEPS! Granted, there were only 3, but that's A LOT when tools weigh (no joke) around 1000lbs. 🙄 I'd already paid, so I took my boxes, 1 at a time, down the stairs, knowing if have to take them back up stairs the next morning so I was angry. Then when I finally got in the door, there was another guest, yelling & cussing on her phone in the hallway. I know I can't hold that against the hotel, but it helped me to realize what kind of area this hotel is in. Anyway, as far as the room itself... CONS: I mentioned that it was clean & updated. The kitchen is not stocked but I was told about that when I called prior to reserving the room. The doors on the fridge are backwards & it hurts the bed when open so it's a real tight squeeze to get in the fridge. 1 of the legs on the microwave was missing so we stuffed a piece of trash under it to even it out. The AC/heating unit is very old & seems to only blow cold or hot no matter where we set the temperature dial. The window shade chain is broken so we couldn't raise or lower it. Luckily, it was lowered so no one could see in. Lastly, the toilet doesn't flush strongly so I had to dispose of T.P. in the trash can. Ladies,bring your own hair dryer & there was 1 small bar of soap & 1 tiny bottle of shampoo, so be prepared for that. Oh! I almost forgot, LOCK & ALARM YOUR VEHICLE! There are questionable people all around. Someone tried to sell "brand new" tools to my work buddy in the parking lot & after he told them no, they approached him a 2nd time in the hallway. 🤦‍♀️ PROS: the beds were comfortable & clean from bugs, all appliances work, they had hangers in the big closet, shower water pressure was good, towels were soft, lights are bright. This hotel is off the beaten path, but still close to dining & shopping. Checkout process was smooth.
