The hotel is located right on the seafront (note: not on the small beach, which is about 100 meters further on), but this offers a wonderful view of the sea and the island just offshore. The staff is very polite and accommodating, making you feel welcome immediately. Our room was bright, clean, and had everything we needed. Because of our early departure, they even put together a breakfast package for us, which was very nice. What you really need to know, and—oddly enough—is hardly mentioned here, is that the airport's flight path passes directly by the hotel. During the day, it's only a minor inconvenience, and you can even have a fun game of "guessing the airline" based on the design of the planes. Unfortunately, Heraklion doesn't have a night flight ban, which means that if you're sensitive to noise, you have to keep the window closed all night. Which is a shame, because what could be better than the sound of the surf all night long? But the windows are really great; you can't hear a thing!

We were there for three weeks at the end of August and had a relaxing holiday. The food was varied and good! However, our room was quite dated! The shower tray had mold, the wardrobe mirror was dirty and covered in stains, the dresser wasn't clean, and the drawers were difficult to open. The furniture in general is outdated; something definitely needs to be done about it! But otherwise, it was a relaxing holiday.

A small and charming hotel run by the Somaras family. Excellent location right on the seafront. The village of Kokkini Chani offers everything you need. Parking is available directly opposite the hotel. Half-board is included. Modern rooms. The food is decent but not exceptional. Breakfast could be improved by taking inspiration from its sister hotel, Erato, in Gournes, as it's a bit more authentic (e.g., the Dakost tomato mix). Dinner is good and varied. The reception and staff are excellent.
