Sunset Inn St Augustine

This place has maggots in the sink and the Google maps said the rooms were $73.00 and when we showed up to stay because we came a day early and didn't have any rooms available in the place we are to stay the rest of the week we had to make a decision of where to go we asked the lady at Southern Oaks in where a good place to stay might be and she lead us to sunset saying the place next to her was known for throwing people's stuff out on the lawn. So we listen to her and went to Sunset Inn it was almost 11 at night and had been driving 9 hours so we went. I walked in and there was a weird mildew smell and so I said well we have to make it work. Bathroom has maggots in sink when you turn water on and the shower water came out 🟤 brown we brushed out teeth with bottle water and never took a bath. We told the front desk even took her and showed her the maggots we paid 100.00 for the room even though the Internet said 73.00 she offered to give us $30.00 back of course we took it but the full 100 should have been refunded for such a horrible room. No bed bugs we looked before even laying down first thing when we walked in kinda a habit of something we do. But I did take the top sheets and put them on the floor to walk on because I didn't want my teenager girls walking on the floor everyone had to keep shoes on when on the floor. This place smelt bad in the check in office should have been a sign as well. We asked are the rooms very clean she said yes. The maintenance on drains and water is horrible. I saw leaks around the property. I would not advise staying here because you could get sick if something Wiggly and crawly gets on you or in you because if it wasn't maggots what was it. I have a video of them watch it. Tell me what you think these things are because some of the creepy crawlies had and string hanging from them reminded me of like a hook worm. Oh when we asked for our money back she said we lied and said we had two kids two grown ups. She said you have 4 grown ups. We didn't because my girls are only 14 and 15 but they are as tall as us. Lol so we didn't lie she was just trying to get out of giving us anything back like we lied. I have no reason to lie. I don't get anything from lying but bad luck. I believe in speaking the truth and good will come to me. Lying only brings negativity. Karma is what's it's called. So if you want to chance getting parasite 🪱🪱🪱🪱 stay here because they have them or maggots you tell me what this is Google maps family. I'm actually very curious to know what the Wiggly things in the water is.

The staff who welcomed us were very friendly, the rooms were clean, a quiet place and close to the center
