I’ve stayed here a few times between New Orleans and Willits Ca, the room is extra clean and nice, it’s always the best when I’m passing by and get to stay here. I don’t know what it is but every detail is so well manicured.

Returning from an east coast road trip with my wife, I needed to slow down our trip - I was trying to get from Toronto to Phoenix in too few days, driving times were too long per day, especially for my wife. So I found this little place after a (google) web search (of course). What a hoot! It's everything you remember about traveling when you were a kid, except this place is lovingly maintained and clean-clean-clean. There's nothing fancy about the rooms (we got the "Superior Double Queen Room" though we didn't need that, because the smaller rooms were already booked when I finally decided we had better stop in New Mexico). But the AC split system (in heating mode, we were there January 4th) was effective and super quiet - and it was on before we got to the room, so we didn't have to wait to get warm. The mattresses were really comfortable, and the place was quiet, though there were a lot of folks checked in there. I checked in at the front desk at about 10:30 in the evening (the front desk closes at 11:00, so they advise that if you're going to be later than that, call them so that they can make arrangements). They handed me a bag with some pastries and fruit for breakfast the next morning - a nice touch. It IS an older motel, so don't expect inside corridors, elevators and a workout center. But if you like friendly owners, a place to charge your electric car over night (Tesla destination charger that works for other electric makes as well), a spotless room with a comfy bed in a very retro motel - complete with a rubber ducky on your (very clean) bathtub, this is the place for you.
