Bit of a long read but it's necessary. So I'll begin with my photo and its relevance. There was, in fact, no breakfast served in the lobby area where the sign is located. Not at 8am when I went down anyway and I saw no evidence there was any food before. There was coffee though so that's.....something. Now for the room itself. Basic, no frills which I more or less expected for the $60'ish rate. However, the shower head left a LOT to be desired and it flowed at either a dribble or, by twisting the selector on the head, a skin-piercing velocity of tiny streams equal in size to that coming from a hypodermic needle. Hot water? There was some but it took a very, very long time to reach the shower or sink faucets. I would say I could have built a fire, dug a well, retrieved water from the well, heated the water and brought back to the room before it arrived in the pipes. Now the door action was a first for me. The deadbolt would not latch into the frame and in order to shut the door from the outside, I had to use my pass key card, turn the handle then pull the door shut in order for it to latch somewhat securely. The manager's wife just happened to be on the floor and I showed it to her but to no avail, a mumbling excuse was given and something about her husband would try to repair it. There is but one elevator and as it approached the 3rd floor going up, it makes a horrendous scraping noise as if it's dragging along the concrete wall those last inches. I prayed. The manager's wife was in there with me and also offered another excuse about the maintenance company not arriving as promised. Their elevator certification expires at the end of Jan 2026, too. The main entrance is not secured at night and anyone can access the building at any time of the night or day. Also, there is no one at the desk in the mornings (that I saw) up until I left at around 10:30. Maybe they were out enjoying breakfast. Why didn't I go elsewhere you might ask? I was traveling to Beaumont to my work location when my truck overheated so I was without a vehicle. Waiting for a water pump to be installed at a local shop. Enjoy your stay! :-/

A quiet place, suitable for those who want to rest and do their things quickly. It worked for me, so for a quick trip and perhaps if you want a stay of 2 to 3 days, it is very comfortable.

I would highly recommend your stay at the super 8 brookshire. All of the staff are super nice intuitive and genuinely care about your needs while you stay there. The hotel rooms are nice spacious also have a really classic modern vibe about them I would highly recommend this hotel 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
