Super 8 by Wyndham Stamford/New York City Area

Very quite!!!!

I stayed at Super 8 by Wyndham Stamford/New York City Area and the experience was worse than I expected. This place is the definition of you get what you pay for. The problems started before I even got to my room. The smell of marijuana was everywhere in the hallways and lobby. Other guests openly smoked in common areas. The noise never stopped. You could hear people walking above you late at night and early in the morning. I had to leave the TV cranked just to drown out the sound. Many other guests reported the same constant noise and hall traffic issues. The front desk was a major problem. No staff supervised the area for long stretches. I needed change and waited about forty-five minutes with no one at the desk. I called the hotel number. No one picked up. No one even tried to answer. I read multiple other reviews where guests said the front desk was often empty and customer service was poor. Once I finally made it to my room, the problems continued. The room smelled like smoke and the carpet looked stained. The bathroom was filthy in some cases according to other reviews — mold on the ceiling, crooked curtain rods, dead bugs in the light fixtures. Several guests mentioned rooms being dirty, with old trash or unmade beds from previous occupants still inside. The elevator rattled and felt unsafe. The hallway atmosphere sometimes made it feel like people were living on site. At times it resembled a drug hangout more than a legitimate motel. The environment made me question my safety every time I left my room. Reading other reviews confirmed I wasn’t alone. Many guests mentioned how rundown the place feels, how it smells, and how chaotic the lobby and hallways can be. Cleanliness and safety came up again and again. This motel sits near the highway and the location itself is convenient. But convenience doesn’t matter if you leave feeling uneasy and uncomfortable. Until management takes real control of this property, improves cleanliness, enforces staff presence, and addresses safety, I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

It's a roadside hotel but the difference is the owners and the staff seem to care. I've been staying there for years with and without my Great Dane. Bruce and a year and a half after his passing, every time I check in they tell me how much they miss him. Everybody to know them, it is a humble hotel but They get the job done
