Do NOT stay here. I reserved a room for 12.20.25 via Priceline for $86.97. It listed a pool. I always book hotels that have pools. I was told their pool wasn't open and they use it for storage area. Upon arrival I asked if we could have a room on the north side of the main building. She told me they didn't rent those rooms. There was an unhoused guy came in after us while we were checking in. He made my husband and I nervous. He kept moving around the entry way. I finally told the clerk to help him. She said he was the managers relative and gets to stay free when it's cold. When we went out to our car my husband said there's no way we're staying there, it wasn't safe. Even though it was about 7:30 p.m. there were only 3 cars there . Why couldn't we have a room on the side we could keep an eye on our car. We left and got a room at the Holiday Inn in a better part of town. We did not get a refund for the Super 8. The only good thing I can say is the manager did respond to my texts. He said the pool has not been open for over ten years. He said he does not have a relative staying there . I asked him to check the camera to see who his worker stay there for free. Their Super 8 sign has "indoor pool" listed on it, why do they not remove that sign. Bottom line why we didn't stay is it didn't feel safe. I cannot comment on the room as we did not even enter it. Response to owners response: The clerk processed a room card for the unhoused without any paperwork. She just put a key card in the machine, gave it to him and she gave us his first name and gave us the story about him being the managers relative. He had tear drop tattoos on his face and additional tattoos on his face and neck. The indoor pool sign is on the super 8 road sign that you can see when you're pulling into town. When you go to the Super 8 york ne website they have a disclaimer that the pool is out of service but ---- under amenities it lists indoor pool. Again, do not stay there. I hope my $88 helped make their budget. The Holiday Inn heard our story and gave us a suite for the price of a regular room. We felt safe there and their parking lot was full
