I had a very disappointing experience with the hotel's front office during checkout regarding a simple and standard request for a GST tax invoice. My stay itself was actually pleasant. The room, food, and rooftop pool were all good, and because of that I was even planning to recommend this hotel to my colleagues who frequently travel to Electronic City, Bangalore for work. However, my checkout experience with the front office was extremely disappointing. I had booked the stay through Agoda and requested a **GST tax invoice** so I could submit it to my organization for reimbursement. The staff bluntly refused and asked me to obtain the invoice from Agoda. I tried explaining that Agoda is only a booking agent and, being a Singapore-based company, it usually provides only a **non-tax e-receipt**, while the **GST tax invoice is typically issued by the hotel at checkout**. I even showed them GST invoices from three other hotels booked via Agoda to demonstrate that this is common practice. Despite this, the request was rejected without any attempt to help. I waited at the reception for nearly **an hour to speak with the manager**, who was reportedly on a lunch break. When he eventually responded, the interaction lacked courtesy and there was no willingness to even explore a solution. I even suggested a reasonable alternative: the hotel could issue a tax invoice **only for the net amount the hotel receives from Agoda after commission**, rather than the full booking amount. Unfortunately, this was also refused. What makes this particularly disappointing is that a simple customer-centric approach could have retained a **corporate guest who was otherwise satisfied with the stay and ready to recommend the property to peers who regularly travel to this area**. I would appreciate if the hotel management could clarify their **official policy regarding GST invoices for OTA bookings** made through platforms like Agoda, and whether guests requiring invoices for corporate reimbursement are expected to handle this differently. Looking forward to a response from the management.

Horrible service for Mr Mohan at the front desk extremely rude and unprofessional. Would not recommend.

Had a pleasant and comfortable stay at Svenska Design Hotel for 2 days. Nice and clean rooms. Breakfast was good with many options. Special thanks to Ms. Rasti for excellent room service and hospitality.
