As a frequent visitor to the city, I found it to be one of the more balanced options when it comes to comfort, accessibility, and value for money. The hotel sits along Ralph Bunche Road in Kilimani, a central part of Nairobi. It’s well-positioned — just a few minutes’ drive from the Central Business District and close to Yaya Centre, and Uhuru Park. The area feels secure and is convenient for both leisure and business travelers. The airport shuttle is available at an additional cost of about USD 25. However, for those who are cost-conscious or prefer flexibility, I’d recommend using a ride-hailing app such as Uber or Bolt, which is often significantly cheaper depending on the time of day you arrive in Nairobi. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortably laid out — larger than many in the same price range. Rooms start at about USD 55 per night, which I found quite reasonable given the location. The décor is modest but modern enough, and amenities such as free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and in-room coffee facilities made the stay easy and comfortable. The bed was firm and supportive, and I appreciated the quiet environment at night — something that’s not always guaranteed in Nairobi. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise — a good mix of continental and local options, including fruit, cereals, eggs, sausages, and pastries. The buffet is generally well-stocked, and the service team was friendly and attentive. I also liked that you can order coffee freshly brewed rather than from a dispenser. There’s an on-site restaurant and a small bar for evening meals or drinks, though for variety, I sometimes prefer dining out since Kilimani has several excellent spots nearby. For a short leisure stay, Swiss Lenana Mount strikes the right balance. The rooftop pool and gym are decent bonuses, and the overall environment feels relaxed and welcoming. I'd say it offers genuine value, especially considering its proximity to major landmarks and easy transport options. As someone who visits Nairobi often, I’d say Swiss Lenana is a dependable mid-range choice — perfect if you want a clean, quiet stay without paying high city-centre rates. I’d gladly stay again, particularly for short visits where convenience and comfort matter most.

Great staff, good value

The hotel is in the heart of Nairobi, next to the Ministry of Defense, in the most upscale neighborhood, Kilimani. About 20 kilometers from the airport, it offers ultra-comfortable rooms, with no need for air conditioning thanks to the excellent climate maintained by the nearby trees. The restaurant is impeccable, the customer service is attentive, and a gym is available for guests. Peace and cleanliness are paramount. All electronic conveniences are provided. The complimentary safe is a definite plus for those who are particularly cautious. The only drawback is the lack of a wardrobe in the standard rooms. Aside from that, it offers the best combination of modernity, discretion, and quality in the city. I highly recommend it.
