The rooms are in need of renovation; there was a strong smell of damp, so we requested a change. Service? That's an understatement. In the restaurant, we had to ask for everything: menus, cutlery, plates, and then someone would come take our order after 40 minutes. Furthermore, the staff were having a great time chatting among themselves and ignoring the guests. This was the first time we'd encountered such an attitude in the Philippines. Overall, our experience was very poor. Breakfast also had a limited selection. It's a good thing we only stayed there for two nights.

Tag Resort may call itself a “resort,” but in reality it offers none of the facilities or level of service one would expect from a true resort. The overall cleanliness of the property is quite poor. While the room itself was reasonably clean, the pool area was very dirty, with stagnant water that clearly wasn’t being properly maintained. Service throughout the hotel was also disappointing. Considering the price we paid, the experience felt extremely poor value for money. Expectations were naturally higher at this price point, but the hotel simply does not deliver. The food in the dining area was acceptable, but the variety was very limited and quickly became repetitive. To make matters worse, we decided to leave two days before our scheduled checkout, and the hotel staff didn’t even bother asking why we were leaving early. That alone says a lot about the level of care and attention given to guests.

We bought the pool pass for the day, 700 PHP per person, for access to the pool from 9 am to 5 pm, plus 350 PHP per person to spend on food (included in the 700 PHP). Towels are provided, the pool is very nice and quite peaceful. It's worth noting that 350 PHP for food is still rather low considering the price of dishes there, which are usually around 500/600 PHP, so you'll definitely need to add more if you want more than just a drink. :) Otherwise, it's a very good, calm, and relaxing place!
