Loved our stay at Tago, Tulum. The room was absolutely amazing, we had a jungle-view room with a private plunge pool, and it was just perfect. Everything about the stay felt seamless, from the room service to the incredibly warm and helpful staff. A special mention to the team for helping my husband plan a beautiful private beach dinner as a surprise for me 🥹 they took care of every detail so effortlessly. Truly grateful for that experience. Loved every bit of it. 💚

This place met and exceeded my expectations. The beach out front was beautiful. Our personal pool was refreshing all hours of the day. Pro tip- ask them to turn the heat on for a late night swim and it will still be warm the next morning! Loved the nespresso maker, robes/slippers, and the overall vibe of it being a personal hideaway.

The location is fantastic – right on the beach! The beach itself is wonderful, with white sand, clear water, and a pleasantly quiet atmosphere. The sunbeds are lovely and free for guests, perfect for relaxing. Unfortunately, there are many downsides. The rooms are large and modernly furnished, but the whirlpool in our room didn't work at all (a joke!), the fireplace on the terrace was broken, and the right-hand sunshades were also faulty. Instead of the promised "partial sea view," there was absolutely no view of the ocean. We had to keep the shades down all day because the glass walls allowed other guests to see directly into the room. Breakfast is a complete disappointment for a small luxury hotel: dry, day-old bread, a tiny bowl of cereal, some fruit, and two cups of basic coffee – that was it. All other options cost exorbitant amounts extra. The bathroom lacked basic amenities like cotton swabs or other necessities, which I consider the absolute minimum. Overall, it felt like anything would happen if you tipped generously – right from the start, they asked for a "resort tip fee" that you could easily do without. I regularly travel to Small Luxury Hotels worldwide, but Tago Tulum was by far the worst. Aside from the location, the price is absolutely unjustified.
