Tambua Sands Beach Resort

We loved staying here! This was my boyfriend and I’s first time in Fiji and the staff made us feel so welcome. The private pool was definitely a plus and the room was clean and spacious. You MUST order the piña colada’s - so yummy!

I strongly advise people not to stay at this resort, mainly because of a staff member named Luisa. If she is still working there, guests should be very cautious. We had three rooms booked and fully paid for. Although we checked in, we did not stay the night and left shortly after arriving because of Luisa’s behaviour. From the moment we arrived, Luisa was aggressive, rude, and constantly interfering. She repeatedly questioned a guest who had only come to drop us off. That person was my cousin, who had paid for all three rooms. I was one of the guests staying in a room booked under my name. This was clearly explained multiple times, yet she continued harassing him with unnecessary questions. Despite having paid, we were repeatedly disturbed by staff knocking on our doors and watching us. Security even told us we might not be allowed to stay in the rooms, which was shocking and humiliating. We were also demanded to show ID for every visitor, a rule that was never disclosed during booking and was clearly not enforced on other guests. When we raised concerns about Luisa’s conduct, she began video recording my cousin, which was intimidating and completely unacceptable. No professional staff member should behave this way. Her actions alone made the accommodation unusable. Because of her conduct, we left and did not stay the night despite having paid in full. What should have been a simple stay turned into a stressful and upsetting experience. I sincerely hope Luisa is no longer employed here, because her behaviour reflects extremely poorly on this resort. Based on our experience, do not stay here.

I do not recommend this resort. Our group had three fully paid rooms at Tambua Sands Beach Resort. Although check-in was completed, we did not stay the night and left the property shortly after arrival due to the conduct of a staff member named Luisa. Luisa repeatedly interfered with and questioned a guest who had come only to drop us off, asking intrusive and unnecessary questions. This conduct was persistent and unwarranted. Despite having paid for three rooms, we were subjected to repeated disturbances, including staff knocking on our doors and monitoring our movements. Security advised us that we may not be permitted to remain in the rooms despite payment having been made. We were also required to provide identification for every visitor, a condition that was not disclosed at the time of booking and was not applied to other guests. When I raised a complaint about Luisa’s behaviour, she began video recording me, which was inappropriate, intimidating, and entirely unacceptable in a hospitality setting. The overall conduct was targeted, excessive, and distressing. The accommodation became effectively unusable due to staff behaviour, and we left without staying the night despite having paid in full. This experience fell far below acceptable hospitality standards. For these reasons, I would strongly advise others not to stay at this resort.
