I stayed one night as a solo traveler and had a very comfortable stay. The atmosphere was nice, the food was delicious, and it was a place where I felt at ease in a good way. However, the toothbrush provided as an amenity didn't suit me... It rubbed against the corners of my lips while brushing my teeth, causing pain (soup stained them for about half a day). But overall, it was one of my favorite places to stay. I'd love to stay here again. Next time, I'll bring my own toothbrush kit.

I stayed here for the first time in the summer and enjoyed it so much that I decided to come back in the winter. The lobby was filled with books and the Taisho-era romantic décor created a unique and wonderful atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the baths were great. I don't think there are many inns where you can relax and read a book in the lobby. On the other hand, I was disappointed with the service. The dinner time options were very limited, and if you check in early, you can only have an early dinner. This may be due to the convenience of the private rooms where food is prepared and eaten, but it didn't feel like customer-oriented service. What was most disappointing was that I had booked a semi-suite room and, with an 11:00 checkout time, I wanted to relax and read a book until then, but construction began in the building next door around 10:00, causing a terrible noise with hammers and electric drills, making it impossible to stay in my room. I wasn't informed of the construction work, and I thought that construction work starting before 10:00 with an 11:00 checkout and a noise level that was so high would be a major factor in the accommodation contract. It's unclear how long the construction will last, but I recommend that anyone planning to stay or considering staying at the inn check in advance check in. I hope that further improvements in service will be realized, and I expect that this will make it the best accommodation.

Nagano hot springs, a wonderful welcome at this traditional Japanese hotel. A spacious lounge with a huge private library in a 1950s style. A small massage room where a true professional works. Unlimited access to the hot springs. Fantastic.
