We specifically chose this hotel for our 2026 New Year's Eve celebrations, and we didn't regret it at all! The entire hotel and grounds are simply immersed in tropical plants and palm trees. Everything is thoughtfully and tastefully appointed; the hotel exudes the true spirit of Thailand. For New Year's, there was a fantastic show program and a fantastic buffet (though unfortunately, there was no smoked salmon, which we absolutely love). The attentive staff were very kind and helpful with our food choices. We'd especially like to thank and express our admiration for our staff member, Adel, who brightened up our New Year's Eve with her positive spirit and jokes, and was always there to help us learn all the intricacies of Thai cuisine. We absolutely love Thavorn! We'll definitely be back! We wish everyone a Happy New Year!

Let’s start with the fact that the room cost €220 per night, and honestly, the only thing we truly liked was the large hotel territory with gardens and the petting mini-zoo. That’s where the positives end. The room itself was very old: all the furniture and items were worn out, and there was a very strong smell of urine in the room. It was constant — neither air conditioning nor ventilation helped at all. It was unbearable and completely ruined our stay. The room was also extremely dark. There were no sheer curtains, so we had to keep the thick curtains closed all the time because people were constantly walking by outside and looking directly into the room. As a result, there was absolutely no privacy, and we had to choose between darkness or feeling exposed. A separate nonsense for me was curtains in the bathroom. This is shocking. It felt like living in some kind of shack. We are in the 21st century — there are blinds or roller shades for this purpose. For a hotel claiming to be 5-star, this is simply unacceptable. The service deserves a separate mention. At the reception, not all staff members speak English, so sometimes communication literally happened using gestures. In the restaurants, waiting times are extremely long, and it’s not because the place is busy. It’s because no one seems willing to work. You can clearly see waiters just standing around. Waiting 30 minutes for a coconut or a beer is extremely frustrating, especially when you’re in a hurry. I really hope that the owners or hotel management pay attention to this, because it feels like the staff’s lack of motivation comes from poor working conditions or the absence of proper management. At the moment, this is definitely not a 5-star hotel, but rather a 3-star one.
