Baba house melaka is very great.Driving along the way from singapore. Im the person that looks into personal item first.Room aircond good. Bed place superb. Towel and linen good SMELL and nicely arrange.environment very cool. DEFINETELY WILL COME AGAIN

To be fair my experience with Baba House was during the Chinese New Year period, which may mean the property was under staffed. Let start with location, excellent and very convenient. If you are planning to hang around Jonker Street area this is the place for you. Overall the staff were well polite and helpful. Proficiency of language was good, in fact some non Chinese staff were trying their conversational Mandarin with the Chinese guest (from China) which was a wonderful touch. The property was well maintained and the room were clean. They may need to recontract with another laundry company as the towels and beddings (sheets n pillow cases) were not white. We liked the overall style of the property and the name really fits it. The dining experience was not what we had expected. Buffet breakfast selection was poor and food quality was poor. I get worried when a Malaysian hotel can't even get their local coffee right (way too weak). The ventilation for the dining area was very poor, felt like we were seated in a kitchen; the smell was evident on our clothing after breakfast. Be ready to have insufficient seating when occupancy rate is high. For a hotel with an interior that fits the name, surely accessibility to other level (only 3 levels plus a roof top) for that memorable pictures with the family would have been nice. Because we were allocated rooms on level 1, level 2 n 3 were not easily accessible. It was annoying and inconvenient. We were assigned a windowless room, technically our room had a 4x2 feet window that faces an airwell, modern but may not be for everyone. When we requested for a change of room, were told they none were available. Perhaps because we checked in late? I think a better overall experience would be better if the occupancy rate was lower.
