Went to Wales for the weekend to spend Mother’s Day and was excited about this hotel being a 5* resort however I have to say the experience we had was quite far from it. We stayed in a deluxe king room and one for the robes had clear makeup stains proving that it hadn’t been checked and changed from the last guest. There was dust on the desks signalling it hadn’t been wiped down and one of the cups had clear tea stains showing it hadn’t been cleaned properly. Called housekeeping to get fresh robe as I had treatment but this took so long I ended up being late for my treatment and couldn’t even enjoy it. Furthermore, there was no water in the rooms - apparently you need to call and request for this but again it took HOURS and even had to go downstairs to ask on person - still didn’t help and to add salt to the wound, they decided to leave it outside the door and didn’t even bother to let us know! It took AGES to get served at dinner but the food was good. Nice portion sizes as well at the Pad restaurant. Overall, not the best stay and not sure I’d go back tbh. It’s great that they refunded me for the service charge as a kind gesture but that didn’t help with what had already happened. I’m a travel agent myself and have been to a few 5* hotels, this is certainly not one of them. I’m not confident in recommending this hotel to my clients.

Stayed at the resort to attend family wedding. WOW, beautiful place food was fabulous and all members of staff were so kind, polite and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.

Theif in the spa! I had my gold nexklace stolen in the spa treatment room. That wasn’t the worse part , the worse part is no one cared. Celtic manor team , the spa , no one gave a care. I didn’t even get a follow up call or a sorry this had happened. Just a load of passing the buck and managers dodging my calls. I always thought it was a lovely place to stay. Buy you never know how good a place is, until something happens and you require help . Celtic manor and the spa are terrible when needed. Unless they are taking money from you , they do not care about service or assistance.
