The Crown Boutique Hotel & SPA

Great room, friendly staff, and good breakfast.

I don't feel like giving a single review, because the Crown experience has two very different souls. Breakfast, bar, and restaurant – top marks with honors We're talking about excellence here. The breakfast is top-quality, the bar and restaurant are meticulously maintained, and the atmosphere is reminiscent of times gone by, elegant but never cloying. Everything is designed to make guests feel welcomed with style and ease. Special mention goes to the impeccable staff: professional, attentive, present but never intrusive. A rare service that truly makes a difference and leaves a lasting impression. From this perspective, there's nothing to complain about: a truly exceptional experience. The hotel and the room – downsides The hotel, unfortunately, is reminiscent of those movie sets that seem perfect from afar, but upon closer inspection, reveal several less-than-perfect elements. The superior double room overlooks the air conditioning unit and has neither a wardrobe nor a chest of drawers. Only a few hangers were hung crookedly, positioned in front of the room's only mirror, making it inconvenient to hang clothes or use it. For a stay of several nights, it's natural to wonder where to put your clothes. The bathtub faucet was broken and the mirror was damaged: small details, sure, but in a property of this caliber, they make a difference. Nothing to complain about the extremely comfortable bed, impeccable cleanliness, and good soundproofing, which are decidedly positive aspects. The hotel's welcome, with two glasses of wine and sweets for my birthday, was very welcome: an elegant and appreciated gesture. As for the SPA, it was unfortunately disappointing. The advertised salt room doesn't exist, the whirlpool doesn't produce bubbles, the sauna is cold, and the emotional shower was dark. The only service that actually worked was the Turkish bath. Finally, an important organizational note: out of three overnight stays, the restaurant was closed on two evenings for private events, allowing us to use it only once. They should have given us advance notice, so as to allow us to make an informed choice when booking. In short: the food and staff were excellent, but the hotel structure and services didn't live up to expectations. Two very different experiences, difficult to summarize in a single review.

The fine dining experience was outstanding, with every dish prepared to perfection and presented beautifully. The food quality and flavors were on a completely different level. The staff were absolutely wonderful as well professional, polite, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Their warm hospitality made the entire stay even more enjoyable.
