This hotel doesn’t really deserve three stars, it feels more like a motel. The rooms were clean, but there was a strange smell in them. The staff were friendly and helpful, but there’s no designated smoking area, not even outdoors, so you have to go out to the street to smoke.

We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights. Parking is available for $25. The rooms are clean. Nearby are a metro station, a supermarket, and a shopping center. Convenient location. Safe area.

Disappointed to say the least in this trip. We have stayed here a couple times before and love the pool. Was charged a $79 “destination fee” upon checkin which was expected. What wasn’t expected was how unusable the pool was. It was so freezing the first day we got there my foot turned purple just putting it in the water. We assumed maybe they had just filled it but no we checked everyday we stayed (4 days) and it never got warmer. When we arrived early on check in day (1:30) lady at the desk was very rude and said something like “well check in isn’t until 3pm” and was very short so we went and had lunch and came back. When we came back there was another family sitting on the couch so we assumed they were waiting for something so I walked up to the counter. I again was snapped at and told “ just have a seat I will help the first” after the second day of the pool being super cold I emailed the hotel the complaint: no email back. Our last night there at 10:15 we decided to go sit by the pool and have a glass of wine. Security told us the pool closed at 10. So finally I was like enough is enough and went to the front desk to again ask why we paid for use of the pool and haven’t been able to use it? When I told her how freezing it was her response was “that’s just the normal temperature” which is a blatant lie because we’ve swam last two times we stayed and temperature was fine. She then said we could talk to the manager in the morning but of course our flight left early so we couldn’t. Had I at-least gotten an email or an apology or a partial refund for the pool fee and not just excuses I may have been opt to try Dixie again. Unfortunate because the hotel is a cute little spot. Guess this is how places lose loyal customers and get them to not want to come back.
