This hotel is directly connected to the long-distance train station and subway, making it convenient and safe to travel anywhere. Porto is about a three-hour express train ride from here (but be careful of train thieves). The riverside rooms offer a panoramic view of the Tagus River, and the sunrise is spectacular. The front desk staff were very helpful and accommodating, and they helped me with any issues I had. The breakfast was more than adequate. I got ripped off when I took a taxi from the airport, but on the way back I was able to take the subway directly below the hotel to the airport. I'll definitely use this hotel again when I go to Lisbon.

Building located in a nice train station. Conveniently located for walking to the city center (25 min) or taking the metro. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms and bathroom are very, very small. Breakfast is adequate, nothing special. *** My experience was in rooms with views of the Tagus River.

We prepaid direct on the hotel's website three months in advance for a "Cozy Double Room River View" with breakfast at 190EUR non-refundable for a one weekend night plus 8EUR local tax payable on site. The location is GREAT right near the old town and waterfront and train station (they are literally above it). Unfortunately, no direct easy nonstop train from the airport so you should either cab it (beware, Lisbon has some of the most scammy taxi drivers in the world) or take the subway (either one-stop and switch trains to arrive at this exact station OR a longer walk/ carry with your bags). The entrance is on the side of the train station facing the water and while it doesn't look like much in the foyer, once you take the elevator up to the hotel, it is very cool and classy and retro and nice. Our room view was OK but the buildings did block an amount of our view (we were given low floor), but they did let us check-in a couple of hours early (which we appreciated) so perhaps that was a factor. Super high ceilings, free drinks in the minibar, free coffee, the air conditioner worked reasonably well (but takes awhile to cool off due to ceilings), and the shower was hot with good water pressure. You can hear a little bit of street and train noise so you probably want earplugs but we still slept good. The breakfast buffet was excellent with nice local options as well as made-to-order eggs and omelets and such. It was an easy flat 10 minute walk from our room to the cruise terminal. Overall we had a nice stay and would recommend it.
