Some of the kindest hotel staff I've met with a great location and price, you really cannot beat it compared to other hotels in the area, let alone D.C. Strongly recommend!

SHOWER RAN ALL NIGHT. THERE IS NO ON SITE STAFF AT THIS HOTEL AND THE ROOMS ARE FALLING APART. If an emergency happens, you will have to deal with it yourself because they aren't sending anyone to help you! When I tried to turn on the shower after checking into the hotel, the knob broke completely and boiling water started gushing out with no way to turn it off. My room filled up completely with steam and the windows were too stuck to open so it got so hot and heavy you couldn't see. I called and texted the numbers listed online and in the lobby downstairs and nobody answered. Eventually I got a call back from the employee of another hotel in Chicago (???) who told me nobody on staff was answering in DC and there was nothing he could do and nobody he could send, and since all the other rooms were dirty there was nowhere he could switch me to. He told me to check out and find somewhere else to go. At this point it's one in the morning and I have meetings the next day so I said I'm staying whether I have to sleep in the lobby. He said I could get a refund either way but he couldn't do anything because there was no manager on duty. I got my own screwdriver from my purse and found the world's crappiest wrench in a drawer in the lobby. I disassembled the shower knob myself and was able to get the water at least cold so the room stopped steaming. Contacted a plumber friend of mine who walked me through getting it down to a trickle instead of a steady flow. At this point it's like three in the morning and I managed to get to sleep. At checkout the next morning there was still no staff on site and nobody to answer my calls. Have tried repeatedly calling and texting for a refund but haven't received a reply. Figures. If I'm unable to contact anybody I'm going through my credit card company for a resolution. Did I mention the toilet barely flushed and the shampoo and conditioner bottles were empty as well? The building is nice & the location is great but clearly nobody cares about this property or ever actually sets foot here. I thought this would be a good budget option because I have regular business in the neighborhood but I would have been better off staying literally anywhere else.

Beware before booking here. I had a confirmed reservation, flew in, and arrived at the hotel only to discover that I had no way to enter the building. I was never provided with an access code or the check-in link that is apparently required to get inside. I had already paid in full months ago, yet I was left standing outside with no assistance. The phone number posted at the hotel entrance was disconnected. I tried calling, texting, and emailing them multiple times and never received a response. After a long flight, I was exhausted, stranded, and standing outside in the 40 degree weather cold with no staff on site to help. With no other choice, I had to find another hotel at the last minute and pay significantly more. Thankfully, I was eventually fully refunded by the travel agency I used, but the experience was stressful and completely avoidable. The lack of communication and customer service was extremely unprofessional. I will not stay here again and would not trust another property operated by this company. Overall, a very disappointing and frustrating experience.
